Threadripper PRO 9965WX 24-Core Workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9965WX running at 4.2 GHz with 128 GB of DDR5 ECC memory. It targets engineers, researchers and creative professionals who need sustained multi-threaded throughput for simulation, rendering or large-model training.

Three NVMe drives plus 10 TB HDD in a TRX50 chassis

The GIGABYTE TRX50 AERO D motherboard hosts three Samsung 990 PRO SSDs — two 4 TB and one 2 TB — delivering up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes. A 10 TB SATA III hard drive adds bulk capacity. Two rear LAN ports and extensive USB 3.2 and USB4 connectivity leave expansion headroom for peripherals and fast external storage.

360 mm AIO and 1200 W Gold PSU under load

The 360 mm quiet-edition liquid cooler keeps the 24-core CPU stable up to its 5.3 GHz boost during prolonged compiles or renders. A Thermaltake Toughpower 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold unit with Japanese capacitors and a 140 mm fan supplies clean power to the RTX 5080 16 GB and all drives without throttling.

Questions about this item

How long can the 360 mm liquid cooler keep the 24-core Threadripper PRO 9965WX at 4.2 GHz before it throttles?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO is designed for the 9965WX thermal load; sustained 4.2 GHz all-core is maintained as long as ambient temperature stays within normal office range.

What is the typical noise level from the 140 mm PSU fan and 360 mm radiator fans when the system runs 24/7?

Thermaltake 1200 W Gold unit uses a 140 mm low-noise fan; combined with the Quiet Edition radiator fans the system stays at a low hum under full load.

Does the motherboard provide the 8-pin and 16-pin PCIe power cables needed for the RTX 5080 16 GB?

The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU includes native 12VHPWR and multiple 8-pin PCIe connectors for the RTX 5080.
