24-Core Threadripper PRO Workstation

This workstation pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9965WX processor with 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory for professional compute workloads. The CPU reaches up to 5.3GHz with 128MB of L3 cache across 48 threads. A 360mm liquid cooler manages thermal output inside a Corsair 5000D Frame case.

Motherboard and storage installation

The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard provides four M.2 slots and eight SATA 6Gb/s ports for drive expansion. Three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives totalling 10TB and a 10TB SATA HDD come pre-installed. Internal bays support two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch devices for further growth.

Sustained compute and thermal behaviour

The 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply with Japanese capacitors delivers stable power under continuous load. A 140mm PSU fan and the 360mm CPU radiator maintain low noise while dissipating heat from the 24-core processor and RTX PRO 4000 24GB GPU during extended rendering or simulation tasks.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Threadripper PRO 9965WX is running at its 4.2 GHz base and 5.3 GHz boost after setup?

Enter the BIOS on the Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard to confirm the 24-core processor shows 4.2 GHz base clock and 5.3 GHz max boost, then run a CPU stress test in Windows 11 Pro to observe sustained frequencies across all 48 threads.

Which drives and cooling are included versus what I must add myself?

The workstation ships with a 360 mm liquid CPU cooler, a 2 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD, two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSDs, and a 10 TB SATA III HDD inside the Corsair 5000D case with front and rear 120 mm fans; no additional storage or cooling is required.

Should I choose the 512 GB DDR5 ECC configuration or a different capacity?

This build is configured with 512 GB of DDR5 ECC memory on the TRX50 platform, providing maximum capacity for large datasets and AI workloads; select this version when you need the full 512 GB installed.
