Threadripper PRO 9985WX Workstation

This liquid-cooled desktop pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9985WX processor with 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory. It targets engineers and researchers who need sustained multi-threaded throughput for simulation, rendering or large-model training. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 1600W 80+ Titanium power supply.

Suits AI-ready compute, not basic office

The 96GB RTX 6000 Blackwell GPU and 10TB of NVMe storage support GPU-accelerated AI workloads and high-speed scratch space. Buyers who only need general productivity or single-threaded performance should look at something else. The dual LAN ports help in clustered environments but do not replace dedicated fabric.

Triple NVMe plus 10TB HDD

Three Samsung 990 PRO drives — one 2TB and two 4TB — deliver up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes across PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes. A 10TB SATA III hard drive adds bulk capacity for archives. The motherboard still exposes four additional M.2 slots and eight SATA ports for future expansion.

Questions about this item

Does this workstation include a monitor, keyboard and mouse?

No — the Corsair 5000D FRAME case provides front-panel USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Type-C and audio jacks so you can connect your own peripherals.

Will my existing SATA III hard drives and 2.5-inch SSDs fit inside the case?

Yes — the chassis has two internal 3.5-inch bays and four 2.5-inch bays, all served by eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports on the GIGABYTE TRX50 AERO D motherboard.

How can I verify the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell 96 GB GPU is recognised and running at full PCIe 4.0 x16 speed after first boot?

Open Windows Device Manager, confirm the card appears under Display adapters, then run GPU-Z to check the Bus Interface field reads PCIe 4.0 x16.
