Purpose-built workstation

This new Adamant Custom desktop pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX 5070 12GB GPU. It targets professionals who need high core counts and error-correcting RAM for simulation, rendering or data-science workloads. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply.

Sustained-load behaviour

A 360mm liquid cooler keeps the 4.2GHz base clock stable during long compute runs, while the 1200W Gold PSU delivers continuous power without throttling. Dual LAN ports and extensive rear USB 3.2 and USB4 connectivity maintain throughput for network-attached storage or peripheral arrays. The Corsair 5000D chassis provides front and rear 120mm airflow for GPU and VRM cooling.

Deciding specification

The single figure that determines fit is the 24-core 48-thread Threadripper 9960X with 128MB L3 cache and a 5.3GHz boost ceiling. Buyers who need more than 256GB of ECC memory or additional PCIe lanes for multiple accelerators should verify motherboard limits before ordering.

Questions about this item

How loud is the 360 mm liquid cooler and 140 mm PSU fan when the 24-core Threadripper 9960X runs at full load all day?

The workstation uses a 360 mm Quiet Edition liquid CPU cooler and a 1200 W PSU with an ultra-quiet 140 mm fan designed for low noise levels during sustained heavy workloads.

What display connectors must my monitor provide to use the RTX 5070 12 GB graphics card?

The RTX 5070 12 GB card requires a monitor with compatible DisplayPort or HDMI inputs; the workstation itself supplies rear USB4 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 ports for peripherals.

Will my existing SATA III hard drives and USB 3.0 devices work with the TRX50 AERO D motherboard?

Yes, the motherboard provides eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports for SATA III drives and rear USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports that are backward compatible with USB 3.0 devices.
