Threadripper 9960X 24-core workstation

The Adamant Custom tower pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X processor with 64 GB of DDR5 ECC memory. Liquid cooling keeps the CPU stable under sustained multi-threaded loads. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment in professional pipelines.

6 TB NVMe plus 10 TB SATA storage

Two Samsung 990 PRO drives deliver 6 TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe capacity with sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s. A 10 TB SATA III hard drive adds 256 MB cache for bulk archives. The combined pool handles active projects and long-term retention without external arrays.

Corsair 5000D Frame with 1200 W Gold PSU

The tempered-glass chassis measures 520 x 245 x 520 mm and includes front and rear 120 mm fans. A 360 mm AIO cooler mounts to the CPU. The Thermaltake 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold supply uses Japanese capacitors and a 140 mm fan. Rear I/O provides two USB4 Type-C, four USB 3.2 Gen 2, four USB 3.2 Gen 1, dual LAN and audio. Builders needing more than four M.2 slots or additional 3.5-inch bays will find the internal layout limiting.

Questions about this item

Will the sTR5-socket Threadripper 9960X fit my existing TRX40 motherboard?

No — the 9960X requires the sTR5 socket on a TRX50 board such as the GIGABYTE TRX50 AERO D included here; TRX40 boards use the older sTRX4 socket and are electrically incompatible.

How can I verify the Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives are delivering their rated 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write after setup?

Run a sequential benchmark such as CrystalDiskMark on each M.2 volume; results should approach 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write when the drive is the OS target and thermal throttling is absent.

Does the package include mounting rails for the four 2.5-inch bays or must I buy them separately?

The Corsair 5000D FRAME case ships with tool-less trays that accept both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drives, so no extra rails are required for the four 2.5-inch bays.
