Liquid-cooled 32-core workstation

The Adamant Custom workstation pairs a 32-core AMD Threadripper 9970X processor with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX PRO 5000 graphics card with 48GB VRAM. It runs Windows 11 Pro and targets professionals who need high core counts and large GPU memory for rendering, simulation or AI workloads.

360 mm AIO cooler and 1600 W titanium PSU

A 360 mm quiet-edition liquid cooler handles the Threadripper 9970X thermals while a Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 80+ Titanium supply with a 140 mm fan delivers power at low noise. The Corsair 5000D FRAME case adds front and rear 120 mm fans for steady airflow through the chassis.

Three NVMe drives plus 10 TB HDD in a 520 mm deep

Storage uses a 2 TB and two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO PCIe 4.0x4 NVMe SSDs alongside a 10 TB SATA HDD. The motherboard provides four M.2 slots, eight SATA ports, two USB4 Type-C and multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 ports. Dual LAN ports are included. The 520 mm case depth and internal 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch bays allow further drive expansion.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid CPU cooler on the Threadripper 9970X, and what step do people often miss?

Mount the cooler on the sTR5 socket using the supplied TRX50 bracket, then connect the pump header and all three fan headers to the motherboard — skipping any fan header leaves the curve at default and can raise temperatures under load.

Which component will need replacement first, and when should I plan for it?

The 140 mm PSU fan in the Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 is the only moving part not redundant; expect to replace it after several years of continuous operation when bearing noise appears.

What thermal limit appears first during sustained all-core workloads on the 32-core Threadripper?

The 360 mm AIO reaches its heat-dissipation ceiling before the CPU hits its 5.4 GHz boost ceiling, so coolant temperature becomes the limiting factor during long renders.
