Threadripper 9980X 64-Core Workstation

This Adamant Custom desktop workstation centres on a 64-core AMD Threadripper 9980X processor running at 3.2 GHz with a 5.4 GHz maximum boost and 256 MB L3 cache. It is built for professionals who need extreme multi-threaded throughput in a liquid-cooled tower running Windows 11 Pro.

Suits high-core-count workloads.

The system suits engineers, researchers and content creators who rely on 128 threads and 256 GB of DDR5 ECC memory for simulation, rendering or large-model AI tasks. Buyers who need only modest core counts or a lower-priced platform should look at smaller configurations.

Dual NVMe plus 10 TB HDD storage

Primary storage combines a 2 TB and a 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD, each rated for 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes, while a 10 TB SATA III hard drive with 256 MB cache provides bulk capacity for archives and datasets.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2TB or 4TB Samsung 990 PRO for my active projects?

The workstation already includes both a 2TB and a 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive, giving 6TB of fast PCIe 4.0 x4 storage with up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes.

What does the 5.4 GHz boost clock mean for my rendering workloads?

The Threadripper 9980X can reach 5.4 GHz on up to 64 cores and 128 threads, so heavy multi-threaded renders and simulations sustain high frequency across all cores.

How fast is the PCIe 4.0 x4 link on the M.2 slots in practice?

Each M.2 slot runs at PCIe 4.0 x4, capping sequential throughput at the drives' rated 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write.
