Threadripper 9980X workstation for AI and simulation

This liquid-cooled desktop pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper 9980X processor with 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPU equipped with 96GB of video memory. It targets engineers and researchers who need single-thread speed up to 5.4 GHz and massive parallel throughput for large-model training or multi-physics simulation.

Dual 990 PRO NVMe drives

The 2TB and 4TB Samsung 990 PRO SSDs deliver sequential reads up to 7450 MB/sec and writes up to 6900 MB/sec, letting active datasets load in seconds rather than minutes. The 10TB SATA hard drive with 256MB cache then serves as a high-capacity tier for archival footage, checkpoints or raw sensor logs without consuming premium NVMe slots.

Pre-assembled loop and 1600W Titanium PSU simplify

The 360mm AIO cooler and Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 power supply arrive installed and tested, so the system posts on first power-on. Builders must still verify that the 520 mm deep chassis fits their rack or bench, and that the dual USB4 Type-C ports meet peripheral bandwidth needs before committing to the platform.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler need coolant replacement or pump service?

The 360 mm AIO is a sealed quiet-edition loop; no user coolant replacement or pump service is required during its service life.

What thermal or power limit appears first when all 64 cores sustain 5.4 GHz?

The 1600 W 80+ Titanium PSU and 360 mm liquid cooler are sized for the Threadripper 9980X 256 MB L3 cache workload, so the CPU thermal envelope is the first sustained-use ceiling.

How loud is the 140 mm PSU fan and 120 mm case fans under full load?

The Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 uses an ultra-quiet 140 mm fan and the case runs front and rear 120 mm fans, all specified for low noise at full output.
