Liquid-cooled Threadripper PRO workstation

This Adamant Custom desktop pairs a 32-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9975WX running at 4.0GHz with a 360mm quiet-edition liquid cooler. The GIGABYTE TRX50 AERO D motherboard supports 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory across eight channels. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on a Corsair 5000D FRAME chassis with tempered glass panels.

Suited to multi-threaded compute not single-thread

The 32-core CPU and 512GB ECC RAM target simulation, rendering and large-model AI workloads that scale across 64 threads. Dual 2.5GbE LAN ports and abundant USB 3.2 plus USB4 connectivity serve cluster or peripheral-heavy setups. Buyers who need more than 512GB memory, additional GPU slots or a smaller chassis should look elsewhere.

Sustained load on 1200W Gold with 360mm AIO

The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W 80 PLUS Gold unit feeds CPU, GPU and ten drives while the 360mm liquid loop keeps the 32-core processor near its 5.4GHz boost ceiling. Front and rear 120mm case fans plus a 140mm PSU fan move air through the 520mm deep case. Storage throughput remains consistent with dual Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives rated for 7450MB/s reads and 6900MB/s writes.

Questions about this item

What motherboard socket must my build use for the Threadripper PRO 9975WX?

The CPU requires a Socket sTR5 motherboard, and this unit ships with the GIGABYTE TRX50 AERO D.

Can the 10 TB SATA III hard drive share the same controller as the Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSDs?

No, the 10 TB drive connects via SATA 6 Gb/s while the two NVMe SSDs use PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots on the TRX50 board.

How do I verify the liquid cooler is keeping the 32-core CPU within spec after assembly?

Monitor core temperatures under load; the 360 mm AIO should hold the 9975WX well below its thermal limit at 4.0 GHz base and up to 5.4 GHz boost.
