A 2 m yellow duplex riser-rated single-mode fibre patch cable with SC and ST male connectors for indoor networking
This 2 metre yellow duplex cable carries single-mode OS2 fibre terminated with SC male and ST male connectors. It is rated OFNR for riser installation in vertical building pathways. The 9/125 micron core supports 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths for campus and data-centre links.
The cable draws no electricity, generates no heat and produces no audible noise. Its non-conductive glass construction eliminates ground-loop risk between connected equipment. Riser-rated jacketing meets fire-safety requirements for between-floor runs without additional conduit.
Each end presents one SC male and one ST male connector, matching transceivers that transmit and receive on separate strands. The 6.56 ft length suits rack-to-patch-panel or cross-connect distances in standard cabinets. ISO/IEC 11801 compliance ensures interoperability with compliant networking gear.

Push each connector straight into its mating adapter until the latch clicks or the bayonet locks; the step people miss is cleaning both end-faces with a lint-free wipe and isopropyl alcohol before mating to avoid contaminating the 9/125 µm core.
Inspect end-faces with a fibre scope before every reconnect, clean with a one-click cleaner if contaminated, and replace the patch cord if insertion loss exceeds the 1 dB/km OS2 budget for the 6.56 ft run.
The 1 dB/km attenuation ceiling at 1310 nm or 1550 nm is the first physical limit; on a 6.56 ft span it translates to a fraction of a decibel, so connector cleanliness dominates real-world loss.
