2 m OS2 Duplex SMF Patch Cable

This 2 m yellow OS2 duplex cable uses 9/125 single-mode fibre with ALC connectors on both ends. The OFNR riser rating allows installation in vertical shafts between floors. It is built for indoor backbone links that require single-mode performance.

Who This Suits and Who It Does Not

Installers running riser-rated single-mode links between patch panels or switches will find the length and connector match typical backbone needs. Buyers needing multimode fibre, plenum-rated jacket, or a different connector type should select another cable.

Questions about this item

Should I choose a 2 metre duplex cable or a different length for my patch panel?

The 2 metre length suits short rack-to-rack runs; select a longer duplex cable if the distance between transceivers exceeds two metres.

What does the 9/125 specification mean once the cable is installed?

It indicates a 9 µm core and 125 µm cladding single-mode fibre, designed for long-distance transmission with low attenuation.
