Copper SFP transceiver with RJ-45 connector for 10/100/1000Base-T links up to 100m
The AddOn 310-7225-AO is a copper SFP transceiver built to match Dell part 310-7225. It provides a single 10/100/1000Base-T LAN port for servers and switches that accept mini-GBIC modules. Network administrators use it to add an RJ-45 copper link without replacing existing fibre-ready hardware.
The module plugs directly into any MSA-compliant SFP cage, freeing a fibre port for copper cabling up to 100 m. It requires a host device with an SFP interface and standard Cat5e or better patch cords. No additional power adapters or configuration tools are needed for basic operation.
The transceiver carries TAA compliance for projects that mandate approved country-of-origin sourcing. Its RJ-45 connector lets teams reuse existing copper infrastructure instead of deploying new fibre runs. The Dell-compatible coding avoids firmware conflicts that can disable third-party optics in managed environments.

The module supports links up to 100 metres over standard RJ-45 copper cabling at full 1000Base-TX speed.
As an MSA-compliant SFP copper module it draws low power and generates minimal heat, staying within standard SFP thermal limits during all-day operation.
You need an open SFP (mini-GBIC) slot that accepts 10/100/1000Base-T copper modules and an RJ-45 patch cable to complete the link.
