USB keyboard with three built-in hub ports

The Adesso AKB-132HB is a wired keyboard that integrates three USB hub ports for connecting flash drives, mice or other peripherals without reaching the system unit. Membrane key switches deliver quiet tactile feedback and are rated for up to five million keystrokes. Multimedia hotkeys and Windows one-touch controls give direct access to media playback, calculator, mail and search functions.

Suits office users who want extra USB ports

Workers who frequently plug in thumb drives or a mouse will appreciate the front-facing hub. Buyers who need mechanical key switches, programmable macro keys or a detachable cable should look at other models. The fixed USB cable and standard layout also make it less suitable for compact or portable setups.

Three USB hub ports integrated into the keyboard

The defining specification is the trio of USB ports built directly into the keyboard chassis, turning the input device into a convenient hub for nearby accessories. This feature determines whether the product matches a workflow that relies on frequent peripheral swapping.

Questions about this item

Will the built-in 3-port USB hub on this Adesso AKB-132HB keyboard work with my older USB 2.0 flash drives and mouse?

Yes, the three integrated USB ports are backward compatible, so legacy USB 2.0 devices such as flash drives and mice will function normally when plugged into the keyboard's hub.

How can I verify the multimedia hotkeys and Windows one-touch controls are working after I plug the keyboard in?

Press the calculator or mail hotkey; the corresponding Windows application should launch immediately. Tap the play/pause media key while music is playing to confirm playback control responds.

Does the box include a separate power adapter for the USB hub, or do I need to buy one?

No separate power adapter is included or required; the hub draws power directly from the host computer's USB connection.
