PS/2 multimedia keyboard for legacy PCs

The Adesso AKB-132PB is a wired keyboard that connects through a PS/2 port and offers 104 membrane keys in a standard layout. It is aimed at users maintaining older Windows systems from 2000 through to Windows 8 who need basic media and internet hotkeys without USB occupancy. The black finish matches typical office peripherals.

Verify your motherboard has a PS/2 port before

This keyboard requires a native PS/2 keyboard connector on the host computer; it will not function through a passive USB-to-PS/2 adapter. Check that your operating system is listed among the supported versions, as newer releases beyond Windows 8 are not covered by the supplier specifications. No mouse is included in the package.

Replaces worn membrane keyboards lacking media

The unit upgrades from basic 104-key boards that omit dedicated volume, playback, email and browser shortcuts. The jump is worthwhile when you want one-touch media control on a legacy workstation without adding USB hubs or drivers. Buyers who need USB connectivity, mechanical switches, backlighting or support for current Windows versions should look elsewhere.
