2D barcode scanner for POS

The Adesso NuScan 2600U is a handheld 2D barcode scanner designed for point-of-sale environments. It reads both 1D and 2D symbologies including PDF417, Data Matrix, QR Code and MicroQR. The CMOS sensor provides a motion tolerance of 5 inches per second for fast capture. A drop-resistant design helps protect the unit from accidental falls.

Suited for counter and mobile use

This scanner suits retail, hospitality and logistics staff who need driver-less operation on Windows or Mac via USB or serial connection. It is not for buyers who require wireless freedom or presentation-style hands-free scanning. Operations needing specialised industrial ruggedisation or long-range reading should look at other form factors.

USB and serial dual interface

The single specification that decides fit is the dual USB and serial port interface. Your host system must offer one of these physical connections for the scanner to function. Verify the available port type before purchase.
