Wired USB headset with noise-cancelling mic

The Adesso XTREAM P2 is a binaural on-ear headset that connects through a USB cable. Its 30 millimetre drivers deliver audio up to 20000 hertz at 32 ohm impedance. An omnidirectional microphone with 270 degree adjustment reduces background noise. The unit weighs 0.35 lb and features inline volume control.

Suited for calls and light listening.

This headset serves well for video meetings, online classes and casual voice chat where a simple USB connection is preferred. The adjustable headband and earcups support long sessions. Buyers who want high-fidelity music reproduction, wireless freedom or a detachable boom microphone should look at something else.

30 mm driver size defines the sound character

The 30 millimetre driver unit determines the overall frequency response and output level of this model. If your use case demands larger drivers for deeper bass extension or higher sound-pressure levels, this specification indicates the limit of what the XTREAM P2 can provide.

Questions about this item

How long will the 30 mm drivers last before they need replacing?

The 30 mm drivers are fixed components with no user-replaceable parts, so the headset is kept until the cable or ear pads wear out.

Which limit appears first when the headset runs all day — the 32 ohm impedance or the 20000 Hz response?

The 32 ohm impedance sets the power draw from the USB port, so volume headroom is reached before the 20000 Hz frequency limit becomes a factor.

How much heat or fan noise does the USB headset produce after hours of use?

The headset has no fan or active electronics beyond the mic, so it adds no measurable heat or noise beyond the 0.35 lb weight on your head.
