Direct Replacement for Sony KDS-R60XBR1
This lamp-and-housing module is built as a drop-in replacement for the Sony KDS-R60XBR1 rear-projection TV. It arrives new and fully assembled, so installers can swap the old unit without extra tools or alignment steps. Home-theatre owners who need a quick brightness restore will find it fits the original chassis exactly.
90-Day Warranty and Low Heat Output
The genuine AL Series lamp runs within the thermal envelope designed for the KDS-R60XBR1, keeping fan noise at the level the set was engineered for. Power draw matches the original specification, so the TV’s existing power supply handles it without stress. A 90-day warranty covers early-life failures.
Lightweight Module Frees Up Service Time
At .9900 kg the assembly is light enough for one-person installation, reducing downtime during a lamp change. No separate housing purchase or bulb seating is required, which frees up bench space and eliminates the risk of dust contamination during assembly. Buyers who want a bare bulb without the housing should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item
How do I install the lamp and housing into the Sony KDS-R60XBR1, and what step do people often miss?
Remove the old module, insert the new lamp and housing assembly, then reset the lamp timer in the TV menu so the set recognises the fresh bulb.
What maintenance or replacement will this lamp need after the 90 day warranty period?
The lamp itself will eventually dim; when brightness drops you replace the entire lamp and housing module again.
What limit appears first during long viewing sessions with this replacement lamp?
Heat buildup in the housing can trigger the TV’s thermal protection, causing the set to shut down until it cools.
