Replacement Lamp for Viewsonic PJ885

This aftermarket lamp and housing module is built specifically for the Viewsonic PJ885 projector. It arrives new and fully assembled so the installer can swap the spent unit without handling a bare bulb. The part restores brightness for home cinema, classroom or meeting-room use.

Practical Limits of a User-Replaceable Lamp

The lamp is a consumable component with a finite operating life determined by the projector's usage pattern and power settings. Brightness will gradually decline until the unit reaches its rated end of life. The 90 day warranty covers premature failure but does not extend the inherent lifespan of the lamp itself.

Build Quality and Day-to-Day Implications

The complete housing simplifies installation and protects the burner during handling. At 0.9900 weight units the module is light enough for overhead projector access without special tools. The Genuine AL Series designation indicates the lamp is manufactured to match the original equipment specifications for fit and ignition reliability.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the lamp-and-housing module or a bare bulb for the Viewsonic PJ885?

The PJ885-LAMP-A ships as a complete lamp-and-housing assembly so you simply swap the old module without handling a fragile bare bulb.

What does the 90-day warranty cover once the lamp is installed in the projector?

It covers premature failure of the lamp or housing for 90 days from purchase, letting you request a replacement if the module stops working in normal use.

Does the PJ885-LAMP-A use a standard projector-lamp interface that limits brightness or life?

The module is built to the Viewsonic PJ885's original lamp specification, so it delivers the projector's rated brightness and lamp-life without an adapter or firmware change.
