What It Is

The Advantus 75545 is a heavy-duty retractable ID card reel sold as a six-pack. Each unit uses a steel-link chain with a nickel-plated steel split ring to hold an ID badge, name badge or keys. A belt clip secures the reel to most clothing so the badge stays visible and within reach.

Practical Limits

The chain extends 18.00 inches from the reel, which has a 1.63 inch diameter. This reach lets the wearer swipe or scan a badge at a reader without unclipping the unit. The steel-link chain is built for repeated daily extension and retraction in office, school or event environments.

Installation And Common Issues

Attaching the split ring to a badge hole or key ring takes only a few seconds and the belt clip slides onto waistbands, pockets or lanyard loops. The most frequent issue is the split ring opening slightly if it is forced over a thick key bundle, so align the ends before snapping it shut.
