Purpose-built access point

The Aerohive AP250 is a dual-radio 802.11ac Wave 2 access point built for environments where capacity demands shift quickly. It targets IT teams needing enterprise-grade features such as application visibility, RADIUS, DHCP and captive portal services without replacing existing 802.3af PoE infrastructure.

Internal antennas and BLE radio

Internal antennas simplify ceiling or wall mounting while keeping the profile low for offices, schools or retail spaces. A built-in BLE radio adds proximity and indoor location services, so the same hardware supports both Wi-Fi and location-based engagement without extra devices or cabling.

Software-defined radio flexibility

Each radio can be software-configured for 2.40 GHz or 5 GHz operation, letting administrators match coverage or capacity needs as they change. The jump is worth it when a legacy single-radio deployment cannot serve dense client loads or when 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO performance is required on existing PoE switches.
