The aFe Power Probe-PRO tracing probe identifies open-ended, non-energized cables when paired with the Toner-Pro tone generator (VDV500-063, sold separately). It suits electricians, low-voltage installers and network technicians who must locate Ethernet, telephone, speaker, coax, video or data cables terminated with RJ45, RJ11 or RJ12 connectors.

Requires Separate Tone Generator and Headphones

The probe cannot inject a tone; it only detects the signal from the Toner-Pro generator, so that unit must be purchased separately. Audio feedback relies on the built-in speaker or the 3.5 mm headphone jack, but headphones are not included, limiting usability in very noisy environments unless the buyer supplies their own.

Tool-Less Tip Replacement and Simple Power Control
