AGS CN-451 NiCopp Brake Line
This is a new nickel-copper alloy brake tube supplied in a 1/4 inch by 51 inch length. It meets SAE J1047 and ISO 4038 requirements for brake tubing. The alloy is designated UNS C70600 and contains approximately 9.2 percent nickel, 1.4 percent iron, 0.8 percent manganese and 88.6 percent copper.
Corrosion resistance and formability
The nickel-copper construction provides the strength of steel lines with much greater corrosion resistance. This material has been used on European vehicle brake systems from manufacturers such as Volvo, Audi, Porsche and Aston Martin since the 1970s. The tubing is also easier to bend and form than traditional steel tubing.
Suited for hydraulic brake repairs
This line suits mechanics and restorers replacing hydraulic brake circuits where corrosion resistance and ease of forming are priorities. Buyers needing a different diameter, length or material specification should look at other options. The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects.

Questions about this item
How often will the NiCopp brake line need replacement compared to standard steel lines?
The nickel-copper alloy resists corrosion far better than steel, so the line typically lasts the life of the brake system without needing replacement for rust.
What is the first limit reached when the brake line is used continuously under high pressure?
The tubing meets SAE J1047 and ISO 4038 burst-pressure requirements, so the first limit is the system's own pressure rating rather than the line itself.
Does the NiCopp line generate any heat or noise when the brakes are applied all day?
Brake tubing carries fluid only; it produces no heat or noise of its own during normal operation.
