European NiCopp Brake Line
This nickel-copper alloy brake tubing meets SAE J1047 and ISO 4038 requirements for automotive brake systems. The CNE-351 is designed for European vehicles that use ISO bubble flare and metric fittings. It suits mechanics and restorers working on brake, fuel or transmission lines where corrosion resistance matters.
Corrosion-Resistant Nickel-Copper Alloy
Nicopp contains approximately 88.6 % copper, 9.2 % nickel, 1.4 % iron and .8 % manganese under the UNS C70600 designation. The material delivers the structural integrity of steel while offering superior corrosion resistance and easier bending and forming than traditional steel tubing. Transparent colour allows visual inspection of the line interior.
Upgrade From Standard Steel Lines
This tubing replaces conventional steel brake lines on European vehicles dating from the 1970s onward, including models from Volvo, Audi, VW, Porsche, Mercedes and BMW. The jump is worth it when rust-prone original lines have failed or when a complete system overhaul demands longer service life. Not for builders who need SAE double-flare fittings or larger diameter tubing.

Questions about this item
Does the 3/16 inch NiCopp line meet SAE J1047 and ISO 4038 standards for brake tubing?
Yes, the nickel-copper alloy meets both SAE J1047 and ISO 4038, satisfying all international and U.S. requirements for brake tubing.
What flare type and diameter are needed to fit this European-spec 3/16 inch line?
The line uses ISO bubble flare metric fittings and has a 3/16 inch outer diameter for European vehicle applications.
How is the NiCopp tubing bent during installation, and what common mistake should be avoided?
NiCopp is easier to bend than steel; use a proper tubing bender to avoid kinking the line, which is the most frequent error.
