Bandwidth and cable limits

The switch passes 10.2 Gbps, which caps video at 4K × 2K @ 30 Hz or 1080p @ 60 Hz. Standard AWG 26 HDMI cables up to 5 m on each side are supported; longer runs or higher refresh rates will not work. The unit itself measures 50 mm × 52 mm × 20 mm and uses gold-plated ports.

Capacity and headroom

Two ports give enough flexibility for a typical dual-device desk, such as a laptop and a game console sharing one monitor. It cannot handle three or more sources, nor can it drive two screens simultaneously in splitter mode. For 4K @ 60 Hz or HDR workflows a higher-bandwidth switch is needed.
