Half Mini PCIe Wi-Fi 5 upgrade

The AJMRTC 8265HMW adapter replaces an internal wireless module in laptops that have a half Mini PCIe slot. It provides dual-band 802.11ac connectivity with Bluetooth 4.2 built in. This card suits owners of older notebooks who need a direct replacement for a failed or slow original part.

Sustained dual-band throughput

Combined throughput reaches 1167 Mbps, split between 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. The 2×2 MIMO antenna design maintains receiving sensitivity during long sessions, reducing disconnections when streaming video or playing online games over extended periods.

Practical interface limits

The half Mini PCIe form factor restricts installation to notebooks with that specific slot; it will not fit M.2 or full-size Mini PCIe keyings. Bluetooth 4.2 pairs peripherals such as mice and headsets, but does not support the longer range or higher throughput of newer Bluetooth specifications. The 5 GHz band offers lower interference for nearby use, while the 2.4 GHz band penetrates walls to reach distant rooms.
