Swivel Plate Caster 600 lb

The Albion Inc. 16MR08201S is a swivel plate caster rated for 600 lb with a 75 Shore A rubber wheel on an iron core. It suits carts, wheelbarrows and similar equipment that need a single non-marking wheel without a brake or swivel lock.

Check mounting plate and clearance

Verify that the mounting plate pattern on your cart or frame matches the caster plate before ordering. Confirm the 8 in wheel diameter and 2 in tread width fit the available space and do not interfere with the load or frame structure.

Fits single-wheel cart builds

The caster installs with four bolts through its top plate and rotates freely for steering. Its rubber tread on an iron core absorbs shock on rough ground while the 600 lb rating supports heavy loads. No brake or lock is included so the wheel remains free-swivelling at all times.

Questions about this item

What comes with the 16MR08201S caster and what must be purchased separately?

The caster arrives as a single swivel plate unit with an 8 in rubber-on-iron wheel rated at 75 Shore A. Mounting bolts, axle nuts or a matching rigid caster are not included and must be sourced separately.

How do I decide between the 600 lb and other load ratings for this caster?

This model is offered at a 600 lb capacity with a 75 Shore A tread; choose it when the combined load per caster stays at or below that figure and the application needs a non-marking rubber wheel on an iron core.

What does the 600 lb rating mean once the caster is mounted on a cart?

The 600 lb rating is the maximum dynamic load per caster on a smooth, level surface; uneven floors, impact loading or off-centre weight will reduce the safe working load in practice.
