Side Mount Caster for Yard Equipment

This Albion Inc. caster is built for wheelbarrows and carts that need a side-mount attachment. The new ZORO SELECT unit carries a 210 lb load rating within a 0 to 299 lb range. It suits owners replacing a worn wheel on garden or light-duty hauling equipment.

8 in Wheel Diameter with Ball Bearing

The single specification that determines fit is the 8 in wheel diameter paired with a ball-bearing hub. Overall height reaches 17 15/16 in and the wheel measures 2 1/2 in wide. Mounting uses a K-pattern plate sized 5-1/2 in by 3-3/4 in with inside bolt-hole spacing of 1-31/32 in by 2-3/16 in.

Non-Marking Rubber and Compression Specs

The rubber tread is non-marking so it will not scuff finished floors or pavement. Maximum compression is 2 9/16 in at a 30 lb force, giving the wheel a cushioned feel over rough ground. Buyers who need a different bolt pattern or a higher load capacity should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What does the 210 lb load rating mean once the caster is mounted on a cart?

Each caster is rated for 210 lb, so the total load on the cart must stay within that limit per wheel.

How does the K mounting plate bolt pattern affect installation?

The K pattern has inside spacing of 1-31/32 in by 2-3/16 in and outside spacing of 1-31/32 in by 2-3/4 in on a 5-1/2 in by 3-3/4 in plate.

What clearance is needed for the 17 15/16 in overall height and compression travel?

The caster stands 17 15/16 in tall and compresses up to 2 9/16 in under a 30 lb force, so allow that extra vertical space.
