Swivel Plate Caster for Carts

The Albion Inc. ZORO SELECT 1VJD5 is a single swivel plate caster built for wheelbarrows and carts. It uses a polypropylene wheel on a polyolefin core that will not mark floors. The unit carries a 500 lb load rating and has no brake or swivel lock fitted.

Thermals and Power Draw

This caster has no motor, electronics or moving parts that generate heat or draw power. Noise is limited to the normal rolling sound of the polypropylene tread on the floor surface. There are no thermal or electrical considerations for installation.

500 lb Load Rating Decides Fit

The 500 lb capacity per caster is the specification that determines whether this part suits the cart or wheelbarrow you are repairing or building. Buyers who need a higher per-wheel rating or a braked caster for stationary safety should select a different model.

Questions about this item

How do I bolt the swivel plate caster to my cart and which step causes alignment issues?

Align the plate holes with the cart frame, insert bolts through all four holes, and tighten evenly; the step most people skip is checking wheel swivel clearance before final torque.

When will the polypropylene wheel or swivel bearing need replacement under normal use?

The polypropylene tread resists flat-spotting, but the swivel raceway should be inspected annually and replaced if play exceeds a few millimetres or rotation feels gritty.

At what load does the 500 lb rating become the limiting factor during sustained rolling?

The 500 lb load rating is the first limit reached; exceeding it risks wheel deformation or swivel failure even on smooth surfaces.
