ZORO SELECT 26Y440 Caster Wheel

This caster wheel is built for heavy-duty yard carts and wheelbarrows needing a 1400 lb load rating. It uses an iron wheel with extra hard 145 BHN tread material. The standard tread shape and roller bearing suit demanding outdoor transport tasks. It is sold new and restricted from sale in California.

6 in diameter with 2 in width fits 1/2 in axle

The wheel mounts on a half-inch axle and includes a spanner bushing for secure fitting. Hub length measures 2 7/16 in to match common cart hubs. Iron core construction handles rough surfaces without marking floors. Non-marking tread protects finished areas during moves.

1400 lb capacity covers heavy loads up to 2999 lb

This wheel comfortably handles equipment and materials within the 1000 to 2999 lb rating band. It runs out when loads exceed the 1400 lb single-wheel limit or when axle size differs from half-inch. California Proposition 65 warnings apply for chemical exposure risks.

Questions about this item

How does the 145 BHN hardness rating affect the wheel under continuous heavy loads?

The 145 Brinell hardness indicates an extra-hard iron tread that resists flattening and wear during sustained use at the 1400 lb rating.

Does the cast iron construction generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?

The iron wheel and roller bearing run cool under normal loads, though some rolling noise is typical on hard surfaces.

What axle size must my equipment have to fit the 1/2 inch bore with the included spanner bushing?

The wheel requires a 1/2 inch axle; the supplied spanner bushing adapts the hub length of 2 7/16 inches to your axle.
