5" Polyurethane Stem Caster for Light Carts

The Albion ZORO SELECT 32J880 is a new stem caster built for wheelbarrows and utility carts. Its 5 inch polyurethane wheel supports a 300 lb load rating per caster. The non-marking tread protects finished floors while the Delrin bearing allows smooth swivel action. This caster suits light-duty material handling indoors or on paved surfaces.

Threaded Stem and Zinc Frame Simplify Mounting

The 1/2-13 threaded stem measures 1 inch long for direct installation into tapped holes or brackets. A zinc-plated steel frame resists corrosion in damp environments. No brake or locking mechanism is included, so the caster swivels freely at all times. Buyers needing a fixed wheel or total-lock brake must source a different model.

300 lb Limit Restricts Heavy Loads

Each caster is rated to 300 lb, placing it in the 300 to 999 lb class for specification purposes. The 1 1/4 inch wheel width and 5 13/16 inch mounting height limit stability under tall, top-heavy loads. Polyurethane tread can chunk on sharp debris or rough concrete. The product carries California Proposition 65 warnings for cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

How often will the Delrin bearing need grease or replacement under normal use?

The Delrin bearing is self-lubricating and requires no scheduled greasing; replacement is only needed if the wheel develops excessive play or noise.

What is the first limit reached when the caster is loaded continuously at its 300 lb rating?

The 300 lb load rating is the primary limit; exceeding it risks frame deformation or wheel flattening before any other component fails.

Does the polyurethane tread on the 5 in wheel generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day rolling?

Polyurethane on a 5 in diameter wheel runs cool and quiet on smooth floors; heat build-up only appears with sustained heavy loads on rough surfaces.
