Purpose and capacity

The ALDKitchen AP-450 is a countertop rice cake maker and griddle with a 450x350 mm nonstick cooking surface. It targets commercial kitchens and high-volume home cooks who need to prepare tteokbokki, meats, vegetables or seafood in large batches. The 2.5 kW heating element brings the plate from 50°C to 300°C for searing or gentle warming. Buyers who need a compact single-burner hob or an oven-integrated solution should look elsewhere.

Thermals noise and power

A 2.5 kW draw powers the element across the full 50–300 °C range, regulated by a rotary handle with a ready-light indicator. Ventilation slots on both sides dissipate heat and protect the surrounding surface, while 75 mm raised borders contain oil splatter. The glass lid traps steam for rice cakes but can be lifted for open griddling. No decibel rating or idle power figure is supplied by the manufacturer.

Upgrade path

This unit replaces a stovetop pan or a smaller electric griddle when batch size and even heating become bottlenecks. The jump is worth it if you regularly cook for crowds and want a single surface that handles both tteokbokki and general griddle work without sticking. It does not replace a multi-zone range, a plancha with independent heat zones or a dedicated deep fryer.
