Adjustable LED task lamp

The Alera ALELED932B is a compact desk lamp with a fully adjustable gooseneck arm that directs light precisely where it is needed. Three-watt surface-mount LEDs provide illumination for reading or detailed work. A matte black dome shade gives the fixture a contemporary appearance. The lamp stands 17 inches high and includes protective pads to prevent surface marks.

Ideal for focused desk lighting

This lamp suits home offices, student desks or bedside tables where a small, movable light source is required. The non-skid clip or domed base keeps it stable on a variety of surfaces. Buyers who need high-output lighting for large work areas or colour-critical tasks should consider a larger fixture. The fixed 3-watt output cannot be dimmed or colour-adjusted.

20,000-hour rated LED life

The integrated LEDs carry an average rated lifespan of 20000 hours, reducing the need for frequent bulb replacements. Because the light source is not user-replaceable, the entire unit is retired once the LEDs degrade. This makes the rated life the key figure for planning long-term use.

Questions about this item

What surface do I need for the clip or base to hold the lamp securely?

The non-skid clip or domed base with protective pads grips desks or shelves without leaving marks, so any flat, stable surface works.

Will the 3-watt LEDs be bright enough next to an older halogen desk lamp I keep?

The 3-watt surface-mount LEDs provide focused task lighting; you can aim the gooseneck arm to complement or replace the halogen output as needed.

How do I know the LEDs are running at their rated 20000-hour life after I set it up?

The lamp turns on with the base switch; consistent, flicker-free illumination from the dome shade indicates the LEDs are operating normally.
