Compact Two-Drawer Pedestal File Cabinet

The Alera ALEPAFFLG is a light-grey steel pedestal cabinet with two file drawers that accept letter or legal folders. A counterweight anti-tip mechanism keeps the unit stable when a drawer is fully extended. Four casters, two of which lock, allow easy repositioning or fixed placement with the included glides.

Simple Mobility or Stationary Setup

The cabinet ships ready to roll on four casters; swapping to the supplied glides takes only a few minutes with basic tools. Locking casters prevent unwanted movement once positioned. The recessed drawer pulls sit flush, so there are no protruding handles to catch on clothing or chair arms.

Suits Small Offices Needing Legal Filing

Ideal for home offices or compact workstations that require legal-size capacity in a 14-inch-wide footprint. Not suited for users who need box drawers for stationery, a third drawer for deeper storage, or a finished top surface for stacking additional units.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the counterweight anti-tip mechanism is functioning correctly after assembly?

Load both file drawers with documents and pull them fully open; the cabinet should remain stable without tipping forward.

Does the box include both the four casters and four glides mentioned, or must I purchase one set separately?

The cabinet ships with four casters, two of which lock; glides are not included and would need to be bought separately if stationary use is preferred.

Which drawer configuration suits letter-size and legal-size hanging files?

The high-sided file drawers accept both letter and legal documents and come with a legal conversion bar for easy switching.
