The Alera ALESW654818BA is a freestanding steel shelving unit finished in black anthracite. It provides five open wire shelves measuring 48 inches wide by 18 inches deep. The snap-together design assembles in minutes without tools. NSF certification covers both wet and dry environments.

600 lb shelf capacity and mobility

Each shelf supports up to 600 lbs when weight is evenly distributed and casters are not fitted. The kit includes two locking casters for mobility and leveling glides for stationary use. Fitting the casters reduces the overall weight capacity of the unit. Five shelf liners are supplied to retain small items on the open wire surface.

Open wire construction limits

The welded wire design allows air circulation and reduces dust accumulation on stored goods. The one-inch thick shelves leave small gaps between wires, so very fine objects may fall through without the included liners. Maximum shelf dimensions are fixed at 48 by 18 inches, limiting the width and depth of items that can be stored.
