Desk shell for private offices

The Alera Valencia Series straight front desk shell provides a 47-1/4" wide worksurface in a mahogany finish. It is built for professional environments that need a clean, rectangular footprint. The unit arrives new and ready to assemble into a complete workstation.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive furniture piece the desk shell generates no heat, emits no sound and draws no electricity. Its laminated surface resists everyday warmth from monitors or laptops without warping. No fans, pumps or power connections are involved in normal use.

Build integration and clearance

The shell requires a compatible return, bridge or pedestal to create a supported desk configuration. It frees the floor plan for under-desk storage or seating while accepting standard grommet accessories for cable management. Buyers who need a self-supporting single-piece desk should consider a different form factor.

Questions about this item

How do I assemble the Valencia Series desk shell and which step causes alignment problems?

The desk shell ships flat-packed; the critical step is bolting the two side panels to the modesty panel before attaching the worksurface — if the cam locks are not fully seated the desk will rock.

What part of the mahogany-finish desk will need attention after extended daily use?

The laminate worksurface resists scratches but the edge banding can lift at the front corners; re-glue loose edges with contact adhesive when they appear.

What dimension limits how much equipment fits on the 47-1/4 by 29-1/2 inch top during long work sessions?

The 47-1/4 inch width is the first constraint — dual monitors plus a docking station leave little room for paperwork.
