34" Two-Drawer Lateral File

The Alera ALEVA513622GY is a 34.00" wide lateral file cabinet finished in gray with a charcoal accent line. It offers two drawers built with sturdy four-sided construction and separate front panels. The unit resists water, scratches and dents for lasting durability in an office environment.

Freestanding or Credenza Integration

The cabinet functions as a freestanding file or pairs with a credenza shell sold separately. Its removable top allows installation beneath a worksurface when a lower profile is required. Two fold-away safety keys are included to maintain a slimmer silhouette when the drawers are locked.

Suits Standard Letter-Width Filing

This lateral file suits offices that need side-by-side letter or legal filing in a 34.00" footprint. Buyers who want more than two drawers, a different width or a mobile pedestal should look at other configurations. The fixed dimensions also mean it will not fit spaces narrower than 34.00".

Questions about this item

How much clearance do the two drawers need to extend fully?

The unit is 34.00" wide and 22.75" deep, so allow at least that much clear floor space in front for both drawers to open completely.

Does the cabinet generate any heat or noise during all-day use?

It is a passive steel file cabinet with no motors or fans, so it produces no heat and makes no operating noise.

What separate piece is required to use this as an under-worksurface unit?

A credenza shell is needed; the top removes so the file can sit beneath it, and the shell is sold separately.
