Flip and Nest Table Base

The Alera ALEVA7243BK is a black steel table base designed for flexible workspaces. It supports Valencia Series table tops ranging from 36.00 to 48.00 inches. Locking casters provide mobility while glides allow fixed positioning. The powder-coated finish resists chipping and scratching for long-term durability.

Upgrade from fixed-leg bases

This base replaces stationary table legs when reconfigurable layouts are needed. The flip-down mechanism lets users fold and nest multiple tables to reclaim floor space quickly. The jump is worth it for training rooms, meeting areas, or classrooms that change layout daily. Buyers who need permanent, immovable installations will not benefit from the nesting function.

Simple assembly with included hardware

The base ships with four casters and glides so installers can choose mobility or stability on site. Top and base are sold and shipped separately, so the correct Valencia top must be ordered at the same time. A common issue is forgetting to lock the casters before use, which can cause unexpected movement. Verify the flip mechanism engages fully before placing weight on the surface.

Questions about this item

Will the 28.38" x 24.50" base fit a Valencia Series top between 36.00" and 48.00"?

Yes, the base is designed for Alera Valencia Series table tops ranging from 36.00" to 48.00" in width.

How do I switch between the four casters and glides during installation?

Thread each caster or glide into the pre-drilled holes on the base legs; the step often missed is locking all four casters after positioning the table.

Does the powder-coated steel finish on the ALEVA7243BK require periodic touch-up paint?

The durable powder-coated steel resists chipping and scratching under normal office use, so routine touch-up is not needed.
