Alera EQ Series Ergonomic Chair

The Alera EQ Series mid-back mesh chair delivers adjustable ergonomic support for daily office work. A synchro-tilt mechanism coordinates seat and back movement to match natural posture. Breathable polyester mesh promotes airflow during long sitting periods. The waterfall seat edge reduces pressure behind the knees for better circulation.

Suits users needing customizable seating adjustments

This chair fits people who want independent control of seat height, back angle and arm position. Soft arms adjust up, down, forward, back and pivot for task-specific comfort. Easy-reach levers allow quick changes without leaving the seat. Buyers requiring a high-back design or integrated headrest should consider other models.

Supports one user with five-star base mobility

The chair accommodates a single occupant on a stable five-star base with casters for smooth movement across floors. Mesh seat and back conform to the body while maintaining ventilation. Fixed mid-back height limits upper-back support for taller individuals. No additional capacity or expandability is offered beyond the standard configuration.

Questions about this item

What tools or parts are needed to assemble the Alera EQA42ME10B chair?

The chair is sold as a single unit and typically requires only the included hardware and a basic hex key for assembly.

Will the five-star base with casters roll smoothly on my existing carpet?

The standard casters are designed for hard floors and low-pile carpet; a separate mat is recommended for high-pile surfaces.

How can I verify the synchro-tilt mechanism is adjusted correctly for my weight?

When seated, the backrest should recline smoothly at a 2-to-1 ratio to the seat angle without sudden resistance or tipping.
