Alera PABFCH Two-Drawer Metal Pedestal File Charcoal

SKU CH-19SQ-5SD7N

A two-drawer metal pedestal file with box and file drawers, a counterweight anti-tip mechanism, and four casters for mobility

  • Organise letter or legal files in high-sided drawers
  • Counterweight stops the unit from tipping over
  • Steel ball-bearing slides give smooth drawer movement
  • Two locking casters keep it secure when stationary
  • Core-changeable lock protects confidential documents

Compact Box/File Pedestal

The Alera PABFCH is a two-drawer metal pedestal file finished in charcoal. It provides one 6-inch box drawer and one 12-inch file drawer for letter or legal documents. The unit suits home offices or commercial workstations that need secure, mobile filing within a narrow footprint. Core-changeable locks protect sensitive paperwork.

Steel Construction With Mobile Base

Heavy-gauge steel construction includes a built-in counterweight that prevents tipping when a loaded drawer is extended. Four visible casters, two of which lock, allow easy repositioning; they can be swapped for the included glides for stationary use. Steel ball-bearing slides deliver three-quarter extension on the box drawer and full extension on the file drawer. Full-length pulls and a high-sided file drawer with a legal conversion bar support daily access.

Upgrades From Basic Storage Boxes

This pedestal replaces loose file boxes, plastic totes or open shelving that lack locking security and tip resistance. The jump is worth it when documents must stay organised, accessible and protected in a shared or high-traffic area. It is not suited for users who need more than two drawers or lateral filing capacity.
