Heavy-Duty Wire Shelving Kit

The Alera SW50-4824BL starter kit provides a four-shelf unit measuring 48 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 72 inches high. Each shelf supports up to 1,000 lbs when weight is evenly distributed. The welded wire construction and black powder-coat finish are built for industrial and commercial environments.

Suits Flexible Storage Needs

Buyers who need adaptable organisation will appreciate the snap-together assembly that requires no tools. The rack can be configured as a single four-tier unit or split into two separate two-tier racks. It is not suited for buyers who require enclosed cabinets, drawers or solid shelf surfaces for small items.

Open Design Benefits

The wire layout promotes air circulation around stored goods and reduces dust accumulation on surfaces. This helps maintain cleaner inventory in warehouses, garages or retail backrooms. No additional accessories or software are included with the starter kit.

Questions about this item

What floor space must I clear for the 48" wide by 24" deep footprint of this shelving kit?

The unit occupies 48 inches wide by 24 inches deep, so clear at least that rectangle plus a little room to reach the shelves.

Can I use the 1,000 lb per shelf rating with my existing pallets and bins without extra reinforcement?

Each shelf supports up to 1,000 lbs when the load is spread evenly, so standard pallets and bins work if weight is distributed across the wire deck.

How do I confirm the snap-together frame is locked correctly after assembly?

Push each post into its sleeve until the taper seats fully, then press down on every shelf corner; a rigid, level rack with no wobble means the connections are engaged.
