Straight Front Desk Shell

The Alera VA217236WA is a rectangular desk shell finished in Modern Walnut woodgrain laminate. It is built for office professionals who need a durable, commercial-grade work surface that resists water, scratches and stains. The 1" thick top includes a charcoal accent line and 3.00 mm protective edge banding. Two grommets and a full-length modesty panel complete the feature set.

Build Integration

The shell measures 71.00" wide by 35.50" deep by 29.63" high and sits on leveling glides for stability on uneven floors. It is designed to pair with Alera Valencia Series reversible return or bridge shells to create larger L- or U-shaped configurations. The grommets route cables cleanly while the modesty panel adds privacy without restricting legroom. No additional hardware is included for standalone use.

Upgrade Path

This desk replaces a basic table or worn laminate surface that lacks cable management and edge protection. The jump is worthwhile when a workspace requires commercial-grade durability, integrated wire routing and the ability to expand into a multi-piece layout later. Buyers who need built-in storage drawers, a keyboard tray or a height-adjustable frame should look elsewhere.
