Hanging Pedestal for Desk Mounting

The Alera VA552222WA Valencia Series pedestal hangs beneath a worksurface rather than sitting on the floor. It offers two drawers in a box/file configuration with a Modern Walnut textured woodgrain laminate finish. Overall dimensions are 19.25" high, 20.50" wide and 15.63" deep with a 1.00" thick top.

Suits Valencia Credenza Builds

This unit is designed for Alera Valencia Series credenza shells and similar compatible worksurfaces. It suits offices needing locked, under-desk filing for letter and legal documents. Builders without a compatible mounting surface or those requiring a mobile floor-standing pedestal should consider other storage types.

Box/File Drawer Configuration

The drawer layout provides one shallow box drawer above one deep file drawer with full-extension ball-bearing slides on the lower unit. Both drawers lock using the two included fold-away keys. This specific split is the deciding factor for organising active paperwork versus archived files.

Questions about this item

What worksurface must I already have to mount this hanging pedestal?

It is designed for the Alera Valencia Series Credenza Shell and matching Valencia desks.

Will the Modern Walnut finish and 1.00" top thickness match my existing Valencia credenza?

Yes, the textured woodgrain laminate and 1.00" top are consistent with the Valencia series.

How can I confirm the file drawer operates correctly after installation?

The full-extension ball bearing slides should let the drawer open completely and the lock should engage smoothly with the two included fold-away keys.
