Portable Roll-Up Drum Kit

The Alesis CLY802040 AiJoy is a 7-pad electronic drum set built for children and beginners. Its foldable silicone surface measures 45 by 25 centimetres and weighs .939 kilograms, so it can be rolled up and carried anywhere.

Built-In Speaker and Headphone Modes

The kit includes a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery rated at 2.45 watt-hours for wireless play. An integrated speaker lets the player hear 5 drum tones, 8 demo songs and 3 rhythms aloud, while a headphone jack enables silent practice without disturbing others.

Check Power and Space Needs

Verify that a USB charging source is available to recharge the internal battery between sessions. Ensure the playing area can accommodate the 45 by 25 centimetre footprint when unrolled, and confirm the user is comfortable with silicone pads rather than traditional mesh or rubber heads.

Questions about this item

Does the built-in lithium-polymer battery need replacing after heavy use?

The 2.45 Wh lithium-polymer pack is sealed inside the unit and is not user-replaceable; when capacity fades the whole kit must be serviced.

Which limit appears first during a long practice session — battery life or pad response?

Battery runtime is the first constraint; the 2.45 Wh cell gives several hours of play before a recharge is needed, while the seven silicone pads keep tracking hits consistently.

How much heat or fan noise does the kit produce when played all afternoon?

There is no cooling fan and the low-power electronics generate only slight warmth, so the kit stays silent and cool even during extended sessions.
