Portable 9‑pad kit for beginners

The Alesis DK‑1 electronic drum kit packs nine responsive pads into a 1.3 kilogram frame that measures 14.33in wide, 12.83in high and 9.06in deep. It includes hi‑hat, dual crash, ride, three toms, snare and bass drum voices arranged like a full kit, making it suitable for children and adults starting lessons or casual practice.

Battery power and built‑in audio

A 1200mAh lithium cell delivers up to 10 hours of play per charge, so sessions can continue away from a mains outlet. Dual 3 W speakers provide immediate sound without external amplification, while a 3.5 mm headphone jack allows silent practice and a 3.5 mm AUX input lets players jam along with backing tracks.

Compact footprint for desk or travel

The kit’s 10 cm cube folded dimensions and integrated carry handle let it slide into a backpack or sit on a small table. Two included pedals add kick and hi‑hat control without extra hardware, and the 3.5 mm AUX cable connects directly to phones, tablets or computers for recording or music‑production apps.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the 1.3 kg kit so the 3.5 mm AUX cable works for music playback?

Unfold the pads, connect the 3.5 mm AUX cable from your phone or computer to the kit’s input jack, power on the unit, then adjust the built-in speaker volume or plug headphones into the output jack for private practice.

What part will need replacement first on the 9-pad silicone surface?

The silicone playing surface and the two included pedals see the most wear; expect the pedals to lose spring tension before the pads show any degradation.

How long can I play continuously before the 1200 mAh battery runs out?

The internal lithium battery delivers up to 10 hours of continuous play on a full charge; sustained high-volume use through the dual 3 W speakers will reach that limit first.
