Ali Industries 5 Inch 60 Grit Sanding Discs
These red resin sanding discs fit five inch backer pads on electric drills and stationary disc sanders. The adhesive backing holds securely during operation to prevent slipping. They are designed for smoothing wood, metal, drywall, fiberglass and painted surfaces. The pack carries model number 3002.
Thermals noise and power draw
Abrasive discs generate heat through friction against the workpiece rather than through an internal motor. Noise and power consumption depend entirely on the sander or drill used to drive the disc. The aluminum oxide grain and resin bond are formulated to resist loading during normal sanding tasks.
Sustained load behavior
Under continuous use the adhesive maintains its grip on the backer pad to prevent the disc from shifting. The 60 grit aluminum oxide material removes stock consistently across large surface areas. The resin bond helps the disc withstand the heat and pressure of extended sanding sessions without premature wear.

Questions about this item
How do I attach the 5 inch adhesive-backed disc to my sander backer pad?
Peel the liner and press the sticky side onto a clean 5 inch backer pad, making sure the disc sits flat with no air bubbles before starting the tool.
When will the 60 grit aluminum oxide surface need replacing?
Replace the disc when the abrasive grains appear dull, the surface glazes over, or material removal slows noticeably on wood, metal, drywall, fiberglass or painted surfaces.
What limits how long a single disc lasts during continuous sanding?
Heat buildup and resin loading from the workpiece clog the 60 grit surface first, reducing cut rate and requiring a fresh disc.
