ALITOVE 2m USB COB strip

The ALITOVE ALT-5VCOB-2M is a 2 metre flexible COB LED strip that runs from any 5 V USB-A port. A built-in boost module steps the input up to 24 V, driving 640 LEDs at 320 LEDs per metre for a uniform 4000 K natural white output. The kit includes an IR remote, a 1.4 m USB power cable and enhanced adhesive backing for indoor mounting on clean, flat surfaces.

Suits USB-powered accent lighting.

This strip suits anyone wanting dimmable, timer-controlled accent light for cabinets, shelves, mirrors or TV backlights where a USB port is handy. The IP20 rating and indoor-only care note rule out bathrooms, kitchens near sinks or any damp location. Buyers who need waterproofing, outdoor use or a hard-wired high-output fixture should look at something else.

640 LEDs across 2 metres

The 200 cm length with 8 mm width covers typical under-cabinet runs and can be cut at marked points for DIY projects, though any cut segment then requires a separate 24 V supply. Stepless dimming, two timer settings and a memory function restore the last brightness level on power-up. Rated life exceeds 60 000 hours within a -20 °C to 40 °C operating range.

Questions about this item

What USB-A power rating do I need on my existing power bank or adapter to run the 640-LED strip at full output?

Use a 5V 2A or higher USB-A source; anything below 2A will reduce brightness because the built-in boost module needs that current to drive the 24V COB LEDs.

If I keep my older 12V LED power supply, can I connect it to the strip's input?

No — the kit only accepts 5V via its USB-A plug and the integrated boost module steps that up internally; applying 12V directly would damage the circuitry.

How can I verify the 4000K natural white output and memory function are working after I mount the 2m strip?

Turn it on with the IR remote, set a brightness level, then power-cycle the USB source; the strip should resume at the same level and show a uniform neutral-white glow along its full length.
