White Wireless Mouse for Everyday Use

The allentian 859 is a white wireless mouse that connects via a 2.4 GHz receiver. It has four buttons and a fixed 1200 DPI sensor. The body measures 11.7 x 6.2 x 2.5 cm and weighs about 80 g. It runs on a dry battery that is not included.

Suits Basic Office and Home Tasks

This mouse fits users who want a simple cordless pointer for web browsing, email and document work. The fixed sensitivity and four buttons cover standard navigation. Buyers who need adjustable DPI, programmable buttons or an internal rechargeable battery should look at something else.

Fixed 1200 DPI Sensor Decides Fit

The single specification that decides suitability is the fixed 1200 DPI optical sensor. It provides one sensitivity level with no software switching. If your workflow demands multiple DPI stages or on-the-fly changes, this model will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 2.4 GHz wireless receiver and which step do people miss?

Plug the 2.4 GHz receiver into a USB port, insert a dry battery (not included) into the mouse, then switch the power on; the step often missed is installing the battery before turning the mouse on.

What maintenance will the allentian 859 need later?

Replace the dry battery when the cursor becomes erratic or stops moving; no other user-serviceable parts are present.

What limit appears first during long sessions with the 1200 DPI sensor?

The dry battery drains first, causing the 1200 DPI tracking to cut out until a fresh cell is fitted.
