A 16-port Gigabit managed switch with two SFP uplinks, WebSmart VLAN and QoS controls, and 802.1X security for network-edge management
The Allied Telesis AT-GS950/16-10 is a 16-port Gigabit managed switch with two combo SFP slots. It delivers Layer 2 switching for small to mid-sized business networks that need web-based control without a full command-line stack.
Suits offices, branch sites and edge deployments that require VLAN segmentation, QoS for voice or video, link aggregation and 802.1X port security. Not for environments that need Layer 3 routing, stacking, high-density fibre uplinks beyond two SFP ports, or CLI-driven automation.
Sixteen RJ45 ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbps and two shared SFP ports operate at 1000 Mbps for uplink flexibility. The WebSmart interface handles VLANs, QoS, port mirroring and link aggregation within Layer 2 limits; routing, advanced multicast and deeper buffer resources are outside its scope.

The 16 RJ45 ports accept Cat5e or better twisted-pair cable for 10/100/1000BASE-T links. The two SFP slots take 1000BASE-X transceivers and share bandwidth with the last two RJ45 ports, so choose either copper or fibre for each pair.
Yes, each RJ45 port auto-negotiates 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps, so older 10/100 endpoints work immediately. VLANs, QoS and 802.1X remain available if you enable them later through the web interface.
Log into the web-based management interface and check the port-status page; it shows the negotiated link speed for each of the 16 RJ45 ports and the two SFP slots, confirming 1000 Mbps operation where supported.
