Alphacool 13/10mm Borosilicate Glass HardTube
The Alphacool 1012078 is a straight borosilicate glass tube with 13mm outer and 10mm inner diameter. It is intended for custom water-cooling loops that use rigid tubing instead of flexible hose. The clear material shows coolant colour and flow. Builders who prefer soft tubing or need pre-bent angles should choose a different product.
Thermal stability and chemical resistance
Borosilicate glass withstands temperature fluctuations and resists most coolants and additives used in PC loops. The rigid tube does not deform under normal operating pressure and adds no vibration or pump noise of its own. It simply conducts liquid between blocks and radiators without contributing heat or sound.
Build integration with HardTube connectors
Each 60cm length connects to Alphacool 13/10mm HardTube fittings for a secure, leak-free seal. The tube cannot be bent by hand, so routing relies on straight runs or separate 90° angled pieces available in 10, 20, 30 and 40cm lengths. Compatibility with other brands' compression fittings is not guaranteed by the manufacturer.

Questions about this item
How do I install the 13/10mm borosilicate glass tube without cracking it?
Cut the 60 cm tube to length with a glass cutter, deburr both ends, then press firmly into Alphacool 13/10mm HardTube connectors; the step most people skip is deburring, which leaves sharp edges that cut the O-ring and cause leaks.
What maintenance or replacement will the borosilicate glass tube need later?
The glass itself does not degrade; inspect the two O-rings inside each 13/10mm connector annually and replace them if they harden or flatten, which is the only recurring service the loop requires.
What limit appears first when the loop runs under sustained load?
The 13 mm outer diameter and 10 mm inner diameter fix the maximum flow rate; if the pump tries to push more coolant than that bore allows, pressure rises and flow stalls before the glass reaches any thermal limit.
