Alpine iLX-407 Bundle Overview

This bundle combines a 7-inch multimedia receiver with two speaker sets and a compact amplifier. It is designed for drivers who want to upgrade their factory audio system with smartphone integration and external amplification in a single package.

Amplifier Power and Speaker Headroom

The KTA-450 power pack delivers 50W RMS per channel at 4 ohms, while both the R2-S653 component set and R2-S65 coaxial speakers handle 100W RMS each. This provides clean output for typical listening levels, though the amplifier will reach its limit before the speakers reach their maximum thermal capacity.

Shallow Mount Receiver Constraint

The iLX-407 measures just 2-6/16 inches deep, allowing installation in dash openings where standard double-DIN chassis cannot fit. Buyers with deeper dashboard cavities gain no advantage from this dimension, while those with tight clearance behind the dash rely on it entirely.

Questions about this item

Will the iLX-407's 7" anti-glare touchscreen fit the existing DIN opening in my older dashboard?

The iLX-407 has a shallow-mount design measuring 7" wide by 4" high by 2-6/16" deep, and the bundle includes a mounting bracket for installation.

How can I verify the KTA-450 amplifier is delivering its 50W RMS x 4 output after installation?

The KTA-450 uses DPP technology to provide a power boost during dynamic passages; you can confirm operation by checking the amplifier's power indicator and listening for clean, undistorted output at high volume.

Does the bundle include speaker wire and RCA cables, or must I buy them separately?

The box contains the receiver, both speaker sets, the KTA-450 amplifier with its input/output/power wire harness and universal bracket set, mounting bracket, wiring harness, preout/camera harness, USB extension cable, microphone, and manuals.
